Picea Abies
This is the traditional Christmas tree popularised from the Victorian era by Price Albert. Grows well in containers or can be planted in the garden border. Easy to prune to maintain size and shape.
A relatively quick growing variety which you can inexpensively grow at home, either in a container or in the garden bed. You will then be able to ‘cut your own’ tree or better still bring the pot in-doors at Christmas time. Then lovingly nuture for use next year….
