Also known as New Zealand privet. A very hardy hedging plant with an average growth rate of 20-40cm a year. Prefers a fairly well-drained / sandy soil, and useful as a seaside / coastal hedging plant as tolerates salty sea air. Needs low maintenance and is easy to prune the soft juicy stems and foliage.
