Cooking Apple: an exceptionally hardy variety of cookers, being originally breed in Cheshire. Fruit is shiny green in September, becoming golden yellow as further matures on the tree in Autumn. Heavier crops are produced when planted with a pollinator such as another apple tree variety or a Crab Apple.
